Just Another Post

So I'm gonna do this to get my mind off things tonight

As you might know mitch albom is one of my fav authors and one of my fav people in general, really. so, im gonna share with you some of my fav quotes from one of his books and if you feel that this is going to bore you, feel free to scroll down. hehe

My favorite quotes from the five people you meet in heaven by mitch albom. You might find this fascinating or not or simply think that im a nerdy nerd cos I remember these quotes by heart but i might miss out a little here and there cos im so lazy to copy paste from the internet the exact quote. so here goes.

1. Fairness, does not govern life and death. If it does, no good person would ever die young.
(now this is my fav of all in fact this is my fav quote of all time)

the next ones are the rest of the quotes that are my fav from the book but in no particular order. well maybe by order of page number

2. People often belittle the place where they were born. But heaven can be found in the most unlikely of corners. And heaven itself has many steps.

3. Birth and death are part of a whole. That's why we are drawn to babies and funerals.
(There is an interesting story behind this one, not gonna tell it here, well spoiler alert)

4.War comes from the sad layered stories of life, which over the centuries have seen courage confused with picking up arms, and cowardice confused with laying them down. (wow, wow, wow)

5. Adam's first night on Earth. When he lays down to sleep, he thinks its all over, he doesnt know what sleep is and his eyes are closing and he thinks he's leaving this world. Only he's not. He wakes up the next morning and he has a fresh new world to work with and something more. He has his yesterday. That's what heaven is. You get to make sense of your yesterdays. (a bit of a biblical reference here if you dont mind)

6.  Love like rain, can nourish from above, drenching couples with
soaking joy. But sometimes, under the angry heat of life, love dries

on the surface and must nourish from below, tending to its roots,

keeping itself alive. (this one i copied n pasted)

Thats the last one. This book is soooooooo goood. In fact, if i could, i would just quote the whole book. I guess its safe to say that this book is like one giant ass quote about amazing important things in life. Maybe you dont know this but i am intrigued with death just because im so afraid of dying but also think that it is my best chance of escape. Now before this i was so into authors such a plath, dickinson whom their genre is all about death but they make it so beautifully scary and depressing. but albom, he thinks its important to talk about death, in fact death is the center of his writings in my opinion, duh dying professor (tuesdays), 5 people you meet in heaven, for one more day (a man who died and given another day to set things right with his mum), have a little faith (a true story about albom himself was asked to deliver a dying man's eulogy) so need i say more? those are only some of his bestsellers. one book i havent read the time keeper i think is also abt death a lil bit here and there. i think this man is fascinated with death just like i am obsessed with the topic of death. dont want to sound depressing and creepy, but in an average day i think abt death around 40 per cent of the time and my heart would pound so fast when it happens. Kays, gonna stop now, please pay no mind to grammatical errors, i did not care to check.
